Do not pursue work-life balance!

The expression “work-life balance” suggests a trade-off between “work” and “life”.

It implies that work is not life... Is it death then?? ⚰

I prefer to pursue ‘life balance’ = harmonious existence according to our deep values and interests. 🕉

I find four life dimensions* helpful to consider:
🧘 spiritual (soul, karma, ...)
❤ emotional (relationships, love, connection, ...)
🧠 mental (brain, knowledge, experience, ...)
💪 physical (exercise, sleep, nutrition, ...)

What kind of balance do you want in your life? ⚖


*And where is work?? Somewhere in all four dimensions, hopefully! 🙏
